NOM-032-ENER-2013
Maximum electrical power limits for equipment and appliances that require standby power. Testing methods and labelling.
Establishes the maximum electrical power limits for electronic equipment and appliances that require standby power, in single-phase supply voltages of 100 V to 277 V AC and 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
1. Digital television adapters. All digital television adapters must have a standby power equal to or less than 1.0 W.
2. Decoders with reception of terrestrial, cable, satellite or PI television signals. All decoders with reception of terrestrial, cable, satellite or PI television signals; with digital video recording (without DVR), must have a standby power equal to or less than 15.0 W, and without recording must be 5.0 W, as established in Table 1 of said NOM-ENER.
3. Equipment for independent audio reproduction, separable or non-separable, for one or more sound functions. All equipment for independent audio reproduction, separable or non-separable, for one or more sound functions, must have a standby power equal to or less than 2.0 W.
4. Equipment for image reproduction such as scanners, facsimiles, printers, copiers and multifunctional equipment. All image playback equipment must have a standby power rating equal to or less than 2.0 W.
5. Video or home cinema playback equipment in DVD or Blu-Ray Disc format. All video or home cinema playback equipment in DVD or Blu-Ray Disc format must have a standby power rating less than 2.00 W.
6. Microwave ovens. All microwave ovens must have a standby power rating equal to or less than 2.5 W for conventional ovens, and 5.0 W for combination and built-in ovens.
7. LED, LCD, PDP and OLED TVs. All LED, LCD, PDP and OLED TVs must have a standby power rating equal to or less than 1.0 W.
